As an LPCC practicing in Colorado, Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UC Berkeley and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Regis University.
Maria’s has worked in hospice organizations, providing support to individuals who are newly bereaved as they adjust to life without their loved one. In addition, she works with clients navigating a range of complex challenges, including chronic pain and illness, trauma, anxiety, and depression—issues that can often feel overwhelming and isolating.
Maria’s therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy and non-judgment, working collaboratively with clients to establish goals for therapy and personal aspirations. These goals may include processing grief, building resilience in the face of chronic health struggles, developing healthier coping mechanisms, or working through past trauma.
Influences Maria uses include somatic psychology, mindfulness practices, dreamwork, sandtray therapy, Jungian depth psychology, image-based work and visualizations, and active imagination. Maria is committed to providing support tailored to each individual’s therapeutic journey.
